SNEZHALIN therapy is based on topical treatment technology (external treatment). This means that the special medication is applied to hairless areas. The hair follicles remain healthy during the course of the disease, and the immediate treatment neutralizes the spread of the affected hairs. Visible hair growth can be seen after approximately 30 to 60 days. Agreements regarding the type and course of treatment are only possible and advisable after a telephone consultation or written confirmation.
The treatment lasts approximately 1–2 hours and is associated with a burning sensation (similar to nettle stings).
Important – To ensure consistent scale formation, the patient must not wash their hair for two days after the treatment. Touching the flakes and scratching the treated areas should be avoided. Hair regrowth begins after about four weeks.
Patients with A. areata and A. ophiasis are treated only in the hairless areas. Significant hair growth is typically observed approximately 6–9 weeks after the start of treatment.
As a guideline, this timeframe is about 60 days, as hair grows faster in men than in women.
The interval between the first and second treatments is 6–8 weeks.
The minimum outcome of Snezhalin therapy is the immediate elimination of the underlying cause and the reduction of affected areas on the scalp. Treatment can also be provided on-site upon request.
Topical treatment is only effective when performed by a qualified specialist. For this reason, the product is not available for general sale.
